In the fall of 2015 the leadership of River’s Edge Church and Selkirk Alliance began to discuss the possibility of the two churches becoming one.
River’s Edge Church had a pastor and congregation that met in rented facilities and Selkirk Alliance was without a pastor and were low in numbers but owned their own building on a piece of land on the northwest side of Selkirk.
As the leadership met, they realized that their core beliefs were compatible and the opportunity to join together would be mutually beneficial. The churches began meeting together throughout 2016.
The decision was made for River’s Edge Church to leave the EMMC and formally join together under the C&MA banner. A new name denoted the new church “At the CrossRoads” (or Cross Roads Church as is commonly used) and this new name made it clear that we were leaving behind the former churches to become one new entity. The inaugural service of “At the CrossRoads” Church took place in January of 2017.
Most recently, in the summer of 2020, Cross Roads Church began an expansion project to create a seating space for up to 300 in the new sanctuary. It is anticipated that the project will be completed by Winter 2021.
We are excited to see all that God IS doing, and all that He IS GOING to do with us! There is a great future ahead for the family of Cross Roads Church!
